These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of BarkGuard (the "Service"), provided by Erbacci Ltd, a company registered in the Republic of Cyprus under registration number HE 457237 (VAT CY60052196C), with registered office at Strovolou 77, Strovolos Center, Flat/Office 301, 2018 Strovolos, Lefkosia, Cyprus ("we", "us", "our").
By installing, connecting, or using BarkGuard, you ("you", "User") agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
BarkGuard is a pet-activity tracking service that connects to your existing Ring camera(s) via the Ring Appstore Partner integration. The Service receives motion event notifications from Ring, optionally fetches the corresponding camera snapshot, performs automated visual analysis to identify animal activity, and presents you with a dashboard, push notifications, and behavioural insights about your pet.
BarkGuard requires you to:
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use BarkGuard. By using the Service you confirm you meet this requirement.
BarkGuard does not maintain its own username/password. Your account is identified by the opaque Ring account identifier we receive when you authorise the integration. You can revoke this authorisation at any time from the Ring app, which immediately stops BarkGuard from receiving any further data about your cameras.
BarkGuard is offered as a paid subscription priced per Ring camera. The current price is USD 7.99 per camera per month. Subscription is billed and collected by Ring through the Ring Appstore Billing platform on our behalf. Local taxes (VAT, sales tax) are added by Ring as required by law in your jurisdiction.
Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. You will be charged at the start of each billing period.
You can cancel your subscription at any time from the Ring app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access to BarkGuard until that date. We do not charge cancellation fees.
Refund requests are handled by Ring under their billing terms. We may, at our sole discretion, request Ring to issue a refund in cases of confirmed Service unavailability or material defect. Statutory consumer rights (including the 14-day right of withdrawal under EU consumer law) apply where applicable.
If you add a new Ring camera and authorise it for BarkGuard, your subscription cost will increase accordingly at the next billing cycle. If you remove a camera or revoke its authorisation, you will be billed for it until the end of the current billing cycle.
You agree not to:
BarkGuard, including all software, designs, branding, and content, is owned by Erbacci Ltd and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes during your active subscription.
You retain ownership of your data (snapshots, settings). You grant us a limited licence to process your data solely to provide the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
BarkGuard depends on Ring's Partner API, Amazon Web Services, and other third parties. We are not responsible for outages, changes, or discontinuation of those services. If Ring discontinues the Partner Appstore or restricts the integration, the Service may be partially or fully unavailable.
BarkGuard uses automated visual classification to interpret camera snapshots: a first-party pre-screen on infrastructure operated by Erbacci, followed by AWS Bedrock running an Anthropic Claude vision model, with AWS Rekognition as an automatic fallback. The pipeline and its sub-processors are described in full in our Privacy Policy. The classification is best-effort and may be incorrect. You acknowledge:
The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that all motion events will be detected or correctly classified.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Erbacci Ltd, its directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of BarkGuard.
Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid for BarkGuard in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD 100.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (e.g. liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Erbacci Ltd against any claims arising from (a) your violation of these Terms, (b) your misuse of the Service, or (c) your violation of any third-party rights, including privacy rights of people captured by your Ring cameras.
We may modify, add, or remove features at any time, with reasonable notice for material changes. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service for breach of these Terms, with notice where reasonably possible.
You may terminate at any time by cancelling your Ring Appstore subscription. Upon termination your access ceases at the end of the current billing period; data deletion is governed by our Privacy Policy.
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified via email and an in-app banner at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The courts of Lefkosia, Cyprus, shall have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence grants you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.
